This Privacy Policy explains how Howdy Pest LLC (“Howdy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit howdypest.com, request a quote, or otherwise contact us. By using this website, you agree to the practices described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website or submit information through it.

Text messaging (SMS) privacy

What we collect. If you opt in to receive text messages from Howdy Pest LLC (“Howdy Pest Co.”), we collect your mobile phone number, your name, which types of texts you agreed to receive (service texts, promotional texts or both), the date, time and method of each consent (such as the consent boxes on our quote form, or consent you give when scheduling service), and any information you voluntarily provide when you reply to our messages, including HELP and STOP requests.

How we use it. We use this information only to send the text messages you agreed to receive: service texts, such as quote follow-ups, appointment reminders, technician arrival notices, service updates and billing notifications; and, only if you separately opted in, occasional promotional texts, such as seasonal offers and discounts. We also use it to respond to your replies and to keep a record of your consent and opt-out choices.

No sharing of mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the information-sharing categories described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services that deliver messages on Howdy’s behalf.

Your choices. Service and promotional texts are separate, optional consents. You can opt out of all texts at any time by replying STOP to any message, and reply HELP for help. To stop only promotional texts, contact us at hello@howdypest.com or (602) 905-9365. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. 1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, call, text or email us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, service address or ZIP code, the pests you’re seeing, details about your home, your preferred contact times, and anything else you choose to include in your message.

Information about your service. If you become a customer, we keep the records needed to provide and bill for service, such as your service address, visit dates, treatment notes, technician recaps, agreement terms and payment status. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are never collected through this website.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security providers receive technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.

2. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you fill out our quote form, call or text us, email us, or talk with a Howdy technician. We collect technical information automatically through the website’s hosting and security tools. We may also receive information about you from someone who refers you to Howdy, or from service providers that help us run the business, such as scheduling, phone, payment or accounting tools.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to respond to your quote request and questions; confirm that your home is within our service area; schedule, perform and follow up on service visits; send visit reminders, recaps and billing notices; process payments and keep business records; improve our services, website and customer experience; protect the website and our business from spam, fraud and misuse; and comply with legal, licensing and regulatory obligations, including Arizona pest-control record-keeping requirements.

We send text messages only to people who have opted in, for the purposes they agreed to. Service texts, such as quote follow-ups, appointment reminders and service updates, and promotional texts, such as seasonal offers, each require their own consent. A quote request on its own does not subscribe you to marketing, and consent to texts is not a condition of purchasing service. See “Text messaging (SMS) privacy” above for details.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information or share it with other companies for their own marketing. Mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We share information only as needed to run our business: with service providers that host this website, deliver form submissions and email, provide scheduling, phone, payment or accounting tools, or protect the site from spam and abuse; with professional advisers such as accountants, insurers and attorneys; with government authorities or regulators when the law requires it, or when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Howdy, our customers or others; and with a buyer or successor if Howdy is involved in a merger, sale of assets or similar business transfer. Our service providers may use your information only to perform services for Howdy. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of these categories and are never shared with third parties, as described in “Text messaging (SMS) privacy” above.

5. Cookies and tracking

This website is hosted on Webflow and uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep spam and bots out of our quote form. These services may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to deliver pages securely and to confirm that a form was submitted by a real person.

We do not currently use advertising pixels, retargeting tools or third-party analytics on this website, and we do not use your information for targeted advertising. If we add tools like these in the future, we will update this policy before they are used and explain any choices available to you. You can set your browser to block or delete cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Quote requests that don’t turn into service are kept only as long as reasonably useful to follow up. Customer and service records are kept for the length of your service relationship and afterward as needed to meet legal, tax, licensing, insurance and record-keeping requirements, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove details that identify you.

7. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to this website, spam protection on our forms, and access limited to the people who need the information to do their jobs. No website, transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. Please don’t send sensitive information, such as payment card numbers, through our quote form or by email.

8. Your choices and controls

You can contact us at any time to ask what personal information we hold about you; request a copy of it in a usable format; ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete; ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law or need for an active service agreement; or stop receiving marketing messages from us. If we text you, you can reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts.

To make a request, email hello@howdypest.com or call (602) 905-9365. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your privacy choices. If you opt out of texts, we may use another agreed contact method for necessary service communications.

9. Visitors outside the United States

Howdy serves homes in the Phoenix, Arizona area, and this website is intended for people in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be transferred to, processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

10. Children’s privacy

This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Links to other websites

This website may link to other websites and services, such as maps, review sites or social media. Howdy doesn’t control those sites and isn’t responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the revised version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Changes take effect when posted. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we’ll give additional notice where the law requires it. Continuing to use the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
